For several years now, La Canopée has been committed to Une Voix pour Elles, an association in the south of France that fights against violence against women.

1 Furoshiki committed to women
But what exactly is a Furoshiki?
A furoshiki is a piece of fabric used for wrapping gifts or carrying objects. It is a traditional Japanese folding technique. You can also use it as a headband for your skincare routine or to accessorize your hairstyles! This one was designed by Alice Noguès, winner of the "Furoshiki" contest organized by La Canopée in 2021.
It was created in collaboration with Fairly Made, a French company committed to textile traceability and responsible sourcing. It is therefore a GOTS-certified organic cotton furoshiki.
une voix pour elles
is a non-profit association that helps women victims of sexist and sexual violence. It also fights against all forms of inequality towards women throughout the Alpes-Maritimes region.
The association's missions are to listen to, support, and guide women who are victims of violence.
It distributes emergency hygiene kits (which we contribute to regularly), organizes awareness and prevention events, and also takes action through their main campaign, "On bouge!" (We're moving!).

In France, 1 in 3 women declares having no hope of escaping the violence she suffers!
This frightening figure shows the fear, the isolation, the control that the abuser has over their victim, but also the material and logistical difficulties that a woman can encounter when she needs to leave everything in an emergency.
"I have no one to help me move" "How can I ensure my safety if I take my belongings?" "The shelter can't take my pet" "Where do I store my belongings while staying in a shelter?" "Do you have clothes or childcare equipment for my baby if I leave quickly?"
So many questions that resonate in the minds of victims and can prevent them from leaving!
Since 2019, the association Une Voix pour Elles has consistently been confronted with these questions.
2# "On bouge!" (We're moving!)
To enable all women victims of violence to complete their journey, Une Voix pour Elles has set up an emergency moving service: "On bouge!"
The move is arranged at the request of a social worker from the department. To ensure everyone's safety, law enforcement is present during the interventions. If necessary, the association guarantees the storage of the person's personal effects, free of charge in a discreet and secure location, until the victim is rehoused.
Through the "On bouge!" initiative, Une Voix pour Elles is sending a message of solidarity and sorority: "You are not alone."
