SO, HOW DO YOU DO IT?
You don’t need to be an expert to enjoy the benefits of self-massage. The idea is simply to take a moment for yourself, listen to your body, and let your sensations guide you. To support you step-by-step, we suggest targeting three areas that are particularly stressed daily and are often sources of tension:
🤲 Hands: they work so hard every day!
A few drops of fluid oil or a creamy lotion will enhance this moment while helping your hands glide smoothly. Our hands, rich in nerve endings, deserve all our attention: they work tirelessly every day.
To start, place your left hand on your right hand, palms facing you. Your right thumb now takes action: perform circular movements, with varying pressure depending on how you feel, starting from the base of the fingers. Move all around the hand, gently circling back toward the center of the palm, like a spiral of relaxation.
Then, take each finger one after the other between your own fingers, and apply small amounts of pressure from the base to the tip. Three to four repetitions per finger are enough to feel real relief.
Repeat this process on the other hand.
This massage can be done easily at any time of day: at the office, on public transport, or during a well-deserved break. A simple and discreet gesture that makes all the difference.
Don't forget your nails, which will be nourished in the process, leaving them stronger and well-cared for.
Very quickly, a sensation of relaxation and calm sets in… and your whole body will thank you.
🦵 Legs: whether you are active or not, leg massage is so restorative!
Start by placing your hands on your legs, then, one after the other, perform wide upward strokes, always from bottom to top. This simple movement helps activate blood and lymphatic circulation while providing a pleasant sensation of lightness. It is ideal for relaxing tired legs at the end of the day.
To go further, focus on the calves. With your fingers flat, massage with a smooth, firm, vertical motion, moving from the bottom of the calf toward the inside of the knee. This area is often a source of tension, especially after an active day.
If you are prone to water retention or heavy legs, focus more on the thighs. Perform circular movements first, then finish with a "knuckle-roll" technique, gradually moving up from the knee to the top of the thigh. This will promote drainage and soothe the sensation of discomfort.
This massage is highly recommended for people who have a regular physical activity or a job that requires standing for long periods. It helps relax muscles, reactivates circulation… and allows you to approach the next day with a body that feels lighter and more rested.
🧠 The belly: our second brain, the seat of our emotions.
Among the most soothing areas to massage, the belly holds a special place. As a true "second brain," it is the seat of our emotions… and often reflects our inner state. During times of stress, after a busy day, or simply to care for your internal organs, abdominal massage is an excellent ally.
Place one hand over the other, fingers flat, in the center of your belly. Start by performing about ten gentle circles in a clockwise direction. This movement respects the natural functioning of the digestive system. Then, continue with about ten firmer circles, adjusting the pressure to how you feel.
This simple gesture aids digestion, releases internal tension, and provides an immediate sense of calm.
In case of intense stress or blocked emotions, you can also massage the solar plexus area, located in the center of the chest, just below the breastbone, using the same circular motions. This area is particularly receptive and sensitive to self-massage.
In any case, let your intuition guide you. Listen to your body, feel what does you good, and fully enjoy this moment that is just for you.
