3 conseils de massage du visage à appliquer au quotidien

3 daily facial massage tips to follow

Having a personalized skincare routine is the key to the effectiveness of your cosmetics. But the application techniques can also multiply the effects on your face. At La Canopée, we know that the benefits of touch blend with the technical nature of our cosmetics to achieve the best results.

Here are three techniques that we will break down together and that will from now on be part of your beauty routine! We will focus on three areas in particular, which are the eyes and eye contours, the mouth, and the facial oval.

If every day you perform these massages while applying your La Canopée skincare products, you will quickly see the benefits. We have simplified these techniques as much as possible so that they are easy to integrate into your routine while providing their benefits!

But before we begin, at what point in my routine should I perform these massage techniques?

An oily step is highly recommended, so you have the choice between the double cleansing step and/or the oily serum step.

If you are a fan of double cleansing, you know that we start by using a cleansing oil. It is an ideal moment to perform your self-massage techniques that will relax you during this evening routine. Or you can decide to perform these massage techniques when applying your oily serum.

To find out which serum to choose for your skin, I talk about it just at the end of the article.

3 self-massage techniques to practice daily

Self-massage of the eye area:

We will start with the eye area with a simple technique that will act on several levels.

Join your hands flat and start by moving down the bridge of your nose toward your eyes.

Keep your hand flat and firm so that it encompasses the eye area, passing over the eyebrows and the top of the cheekbone.

You should clearly feel these bony structures and massage with firm pressure while moving up toward the temple, taking care to pass by the tip of the eyebrow.

Repeat this technique several times.

It is a very relaxing technique because it is quite enveloping, and the firmness of this movement provides a lymphatic benefit, helping to decongest this area, while lifting the skin to open up and stretch the eyes.

Self-massage of the mouth:

To work toward plump lips and possibly address the fine lines that settle on the contour of the mouth, use both your thumbs and two index fingers to pinch along the lips, taking care to take the skin above and below in order to bring the lips forward. Go all the way around the mouth several times.

If you have dry and/or chapped lips, remember to apply a little moisturizing cream to them and an oily substance, such as a little oily serum if that is what you have chosen for the self-massage.

Pinching helps to relax all the muscles around the mouth, which can sometimes remain tense and create small fine lines.

Always remember to breathe well and relax your facial muscles. This massage also helps to plump the mouth and boost blood and lymphatic circulation.

After this technique, you will have a more relaxed and plump mouth.

Self-massage of the facial oval:

For my part, I like to end my skincare routine with a self-massage of the facial oval. I find that it reshapes and perfects the routine!

To massage this area, simply follow the jawline, starting from the chin and moving up to the ears. The most effective way is to make two little hooks with your index and middle fingers and press them against the jaw.

By following the jawbone, we "remind" the skin of the path of this structure. It becomes toned, and fats and lymph follow the movement. The principle, as in all the self-massage techniques we have seen, is to lift the skin to counter the effect of gravity.

We also work to decongest this area, which can sometimes show puffiness, by stimulating the lymphatic glands.

Which serum should you prefer for self-massage?

Which serum to choose?

Are you more prone to blemishes?

👉 Opt for the purifying essential synergy serum, which will provide all its sanitizing and purifying properties. One to two drops are enough to finish your routine and perform the self-massage techniques.

Are you looking primarily for an anti-aging action?

👉 We recommend the super antioxidant plants serum. Start with one to two drops; this is more than enough to perform the self-massage.

Do you have dry and/or sensitive skin?

👉 Prefer using the ultra-nourishing oily serum, which will provide plenty of comfort and skin elasticity. One to two drops are sufficient, but you can definitely use more depending on any tightness you may feel.

I wish you a wonderful skincare routine, and take care of yourself!
