Our story
Two sisters, two areas of expertise, one shared standard
La Canopée was founded in 2017 in Grasse, born of two sisters desire to champion a different kind of natural cosmetics.
Cécile Munoz, a chemical engineer specialised in green chemistry, designs and develops the formulas.
Juliette Munoz, a designer and communications specialist, shapes the brand image and brings to light the formulation philosophy of this family-run, committed brand.
100% natural-origin dermocosmetics
The richness of nature and the study of natural, vegan active molecules are at the heart of what we do. The constant search for greener, more effective extraction methods and the development of new natural, high-performance cosmetic ingredients drive us every day to provide natural and effective answers to skin concerns.
Alongside this, we study skin physiology and monitor developments in the available scientific data in order to build a response that is 100% naturally derived and 100% vegan. Our aim is to support the skin's natural function and to offer effective, sensorial skincare.
Formulators and manufacturers, in Grasse
Most brands outsource their production. We made the opposite choice: all our formulas are developed by our in-house R&D team and manufactured in our own workshop in Grasse, the historic cradle of perfumery and natural raw materials.
Formulating a high-performance natural skincare product requires real technical mastery: emulsion stability, compatibility of active ingredients, preservation, skin tolerance and sensoriality. This has been our profession for more than ten years.

Formulas in which every ingredient has a role
Active aqueous phases
In conventional cosmetics, the aqueous phase is often plain water. In our formulas, it is replaced by hydrosols or plant infusions, which bring their own properties to the formula.
Virgin, unrefined raw materials
Chosen to preserve all their active molecules. Our products keep the colour and scent of their ingredients; no colourants are added.
Generously dosed active ingredients
Combined for their complementarity and synergy. Each ingredient in a formula is included at an efficacy-proven concentration, so that it brings its full properties to the formula and delivers real results.
Rigorous selection
Every raw material is approved against technical and regulatory criteria and according to the COSMOS standard (Cosmecert certification). It is also assessed on its documented efficacy, its traceability, its environmental impact and its production conditions.

A fine oil in which chamomile flowers macerate to infuse their soothing and calming properties for the skin. It removes make-up, even waterproof, as well as sunscreens and pollution, and leaves the skin supple. Use as the first step of a double cleanse.
